Requirements
- Minimum 2 years at an upscale or high-volume casual restaurant
- Comfortable in a high volume and fast-pace environment
- Spanish speaking a plus
- Strong knowledge of spirits, wine and cocktails a must
- Flexible availability including nights, holidays and weekends
About the Job
Summary of Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Participate in the restaurant opening
- Offer great service to all guests
- Take customer orders, maintains fast, accurate service and positive guest relations
- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
- Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as not serving intoxicated guests, notifying a manager, and offering to call a friend or a cab for the guest
- Make all cocktails according to recipes
- Proposing new cocktails
- Maintain orderly and stocked bar and cellar
- Receive payments by cash, credit or debit cards, and gift cards and issue receipts, refunds, or change due
- Works as a team member to support other restaurant employees in their duties
- Other duties as assigned by supe riors
